Farheen is an author and advocate and continues to speak in the media, based on her lived experience, on matters of gender-based violence, islamophobia, equity and civil and human rights. Farheen has run in Federal politics and continues to be an advocate and activist for the rights of marginalized communities and in particular women. She has over 11 years of experience working in the anti-violence and anti-poverty sectors including working for local women's shelters, sexual assault/rape crisis centres and organizations including the United Way. Today Farheen is also the co-founder and imama at the Women's Mosque of Canada.
